COVID-19 Information
Many of our lighting products are built for the U.S. military, law enforcement, medical evacuation, and search and rescue missions. Many of our customers are considered prime contractors and are working on Federal U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts. Many of these contracts fall under the Defense Priority Allocation System (DPAS). The purpose of DPAS is to assure the timely availability of industrial resources to meet current national defense and emergency preparedness program requirements. These contracts typically have a DO-A1 Defense Priority rating.
Lumitron Aerospace Lighting Components is therefore a critical supplier to United States Government Department of Defense; this means that our operations and personnel fall under the definition of Essential Business: Military and Defense contractors and their essential personnel are exempt from the various state and local stay-at-home orders. Essential personnel include prime, sub-prime, and supplier contractors’ employees at both the prime contract level and any supplier level at any tier.
We are making every effort to minimize the impact on scheduled delivery dates of open orders as much as possible. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control related to the COVID-19 coronavirus, this global pandemic will likely have an effect on some production targets, and some deliveries may need to be pushed out. As a result, this notice invokes our rights per force majeure.
Specific information, including rescheduling of deliveries of open orders and new requests for quotes, will be handled by your normal point of contact. Because most office personnel will be working remotely please contact them by email.
We will do our best to keep you updated and informed. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times.
